ARTIST STATEMENT Intrigued by the play of light on objects
and the reflections created, the bounce colors make on their surroundings and
the patterns and shapes, I incorporate these elements to add an
abstractionism to the realism of my paintings. "I like to express my own interpretation
of the world around me. I want my paintings to beckon the viewer from across the room
to come closer
and discover that the sum of the parts is greater than the
whole".
