The painter Charis Christodoulidis was born in Vyronia of
Serres in Makedonia, Hellas. During his
high – school studies he held his first two exhibitions in Serres. Since 1969
he lives and works at Thessaloniki, Chalkidikis str. Nr. 35 and exhibits
occasionally his work. He has participated in various group exhibitions at
Greece and abroad. The topics of the painter Charis Christodoulidis
include: still life, flowers,
landscapes, traditional houses, old – traditional architecture, seas, coasts,
olive – trees, etc. However, his sensitivity and his respect to the traditional
folk buildings, iron gates, damaged and painted again and again wooden doors,
alleys and generally the elements of a culture, that is getting lost little by
little and becomes a memory, is extraordinary. His paintings were displayed in
several exhibitions all over the world: Austia, Germany, Bulgaria, South
Africa, USA, Italy and of course in many places all over Greece. He held up to
60 group exhibitions and 50 solo exhibitions.
